I would like to purchase a sat nav, which must have europian maps for travelling to Spain via France. Please could someone advise which is the best one for the sum of £250 max. I have looked on pricerunner and found this;Garmin Nuvi 350 £230.00. Does anybody know if this sat nav is any good or is there a better one for similar money.
Many thanks for your help

I got a Tom Tom One Europe in Halfords last week for £199.99 - they had reduced it to the same price as the UK one and it's great. I had a basic Garmin i3 Streetpilot before this and, although it did the job, the Tom Tom's instructions are clearer and you can add on cameras, US maps etc. Not sure about the model you mentioned though.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 310d which can be got for £223 online. Make sure that if you get a Garmin its got version 9 mapping (v9). This is the most up to date europe map and its very good. If you buy in a shop (Halfords, say) you can physically look in the box to see if v9 is written on the dvd (it'll have v8 if its the old one). You should also factor in a home charging adaptor into the price if your model does not include it. Garmin, IMO are a nice company to deal with...they answered my endless questions in a polite and helpful manner. On my first call to their helpline the lady I spoke to told me a freephone number to use for any future calls....don't have it to hand but a visit to that 'saynoto0870' site should unearth it quickly. Good luck0

I would recommend the TomTom One Europe - but not at that price. I paid £174.00 just before Christmas from Dixon's Online.
Keep looking before you buy.

agree on the TomTom one Europe. Miles better than my old Navman, all the maps fit on one memory card, it has battery backup so doesn't turn off if you go through a tunnel (oh and I can use it cordless in my Fire Engine (24v))0
