I do prefer it that way as you quite rightly point out and this happening today has not done anything but strengthen that ,if people are going to post the comp anyway on the wall and no-one is going to say anything ,then what is the point of it being here ? I see that it was left to me to point out and then have to try and explain why it should not have been posted ,yet I am the one who says he doesn't agree with dailies,how that is fair I don't know??????????????????????????????????????????????

But THIS isn't on the dailies. What has the dailies got to do with it? You seem to be letting your dislike of the dailies get you a bit confused as to where you are. Both THIS thread and the other one are on the main board.

The reason there is a daily section (and weekly) is because we are not allowed to bump competitions unecessarily. Competitions such as this one which require a new answer, or comps that need a new link are allowed to be bumped, the others are not. Yes, you will get some comps being bumped that shouldnt be, but the rules that Martin set out when allowing us a competition board, is that we post comps and then leave them be - they get moved when they are Game Over. As the board developed, it was found that people were losing track of some comps as they could be entered more than once. This is when the daily section was set up.
Now, everyone comps in different ways. Personally, i start where i finished the day before (i will stop about 10 tonight, and tomorrow morning when i sign back in, i start at 10 and work my way until i catch up). However, i know some start on the first page and work through, some by end date, some go through and only enter high value prizes, some by poster, some only do the dailies and im sure there are other ways ive not thought of.
The main thing is that every single comp that is found and posted is on the main board, set out properly so that everyone has the chance to find it, even if its only once.
The dailies board is purely to help those who want to enter everyday find those comps without having to make a list themselves - it is run by a a lovely volunteer and its up to you if you wish to use it or not. If your comp is added to the daily board, it is purely a link to your post on the main board, it is not moved anywhere. Sometimes, there are dailies that have been there so long, that someone might re-post it on the main board, but as a rule that isnt needed as it should already be there somewhere.

Im not sure what has happened to your posts to make you question the dailies, but your posts on the main board should stay here, even if someone notices if one is a daily and adds it to there!

A final word cos I have had enough of being made to look a fool,a few people have informed me that THIS (as you like to print it) is in dailies thank you very much ,if you have to print things and capitilize letters to make some kind of point could you please get your facts right. Now i'm going to bite my tongue as I have been asked and sit and ponder who exactly is confused:D

Some people "might" have made you look like a fool but many more, I mean many more are extremely grateful for all your competitions and that is what you should be paying attention to! There'll always be nasty above all when you are essentially good. Your job is to discern.

Im really sorry, but what is the problem with it being in the dailies? Its only on a list, and your original post is still on the main board?

It is in dailies but hasnt been moved from the main board? so being in the dailies has no impact? :-/
