Help me find this dress

Hi,

I recently tried on, and fell in love with "Simone" at Brides of Southampton. The last one on this page (please remove the spaces as I'm a new user so can't post links) - www. bridesofsouthampton. co. uk/bridal-gowns.aspx?id=8.

Has anyone any idea who the designer may be? I can't seem to find it anywhere else...

Many thanks for your help in advance!

  • Hiya! Is it a designer wedding dress or this shops own gown design?? It looks either identical or very similar to either an Alfred Angelo dress or a Forever Yours dress. I'll do some searches for you. Good news is I have definitely seen this dress (or extremely similar) while I've been searching for my own dress.

Once you know the designer, you can search on ebay and preloved.co.uk. You can even put a 'wanted' ad on preloved.

I'll do some searches for you!

  • Do a search on google images for Forever Yours Wedding Dress (49112) - not the exact dress but very similar. I have personally tried on this exact style of dress and it is really stunning on. Very, very similar. Lovely detail on train.

    Will keep searching :)

I have no idea if it's a designer or shop's own - they whisked it away so quickly once I'd taken it off - I didn't get a chance to look for any label!

It's very similar to that Forever Yours dress you suggest, but not quite the same!

Will have to phone the shop and ask, otherwise back for another try on and a (hopefully) sneaky look for a label!

    Thanks for your help!
  • Are you trying to buy it cheaper somewhere else? Definitely search on ebay and preloved once you know what the designer label is. Although, it may be their own design or a design they buy in from China so it might not be something you can source elsewhere.

The Forever Yours dress is worth a try on if you can find one. They are a discontinued style I think. The one i tried on a few months back was reduced to £300 so you might get very lucky!

    Good luck
