FIT payments

I am awaiting my first FIT payment from British Gas - today is day 28 and they say in their email I will receive a cheque within 28 days but surprise surprise, no cheque.
I have read my contract and there is no mention of how long they can take to make payments. Has anyone else received a payment from them - was it within the 28 days?
