If I open the application, I then get a > button. If I press that, I ger an opportunity to browse my PC. If I select the DVD drive, I can see the disk and an audio_ts and video_ts folders.

If I go into video_ts, which file do I want?

Power DVD comes up with an error sometimes telling me the disc is region 2 and the setting on the software is "non-specific". I thought that mearn't region free and should therefore play a region 2 disc.

    Try

    >File >Open Disc

    rather than

    File>Open File
  • I downloaded the codecs that Marseden_Pete recommended and both Power DVD and MP work now.

    Thanks guys
  • lol VLC Player would have done it straight away :D but glad it all works now :)

  • I did load VLC player but it opens up the folder structure on the disc and I didn't know what file to play. I did try with it.
