Got my Bank Charges back :D

All £366.31 of it!!

I'm not paying it off anything 'right now'. I've got a system I need to put in place first.

It goes like this: As I get paid monthly, I'm leaving all money in my bank account, apart from minimum payments. My rent is due 4 weekly. So, by leaving everything in there, I should be able to start paying my rent when it's due. Then, on the 27th of Feb, the day before pay day, anything left in my bank will be paid off my highest APR debt. This is the best system for me. It's still snowballing, but on my terms, rather than leaving me short to pay the rent.

    Nice going,

I have been looking into the reclaiming charges in that section of the forums.
I'll see if I can get it done over the weekend.

As for the your system im trying the same thing. I have decided that I will try and save a months expenses so I know that all the bills will be paid.

    congrats

  • Just to add, my received charges were £1.66 short, this was interest from the date I filed. I rang them, and they're paying that in too. I wasn't going to bother, but it I owed them £1.66 they'ed charge me £39.:D

Congratulation, good luck with your system, I have been doing it for over 25 yrs and it does work.

  • Thanks, I'm pretty certain this is the best way, as with bills being paid at all different times of the month. I intend to ring round and get them all moved to the 1st of the month.
