I made them with SR flour and they turned out fine.

Self raising flour
If you don't have any, use plain flour but add 1tsp of baking powder to every 8oz plain flour when making any biscuits.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
