So does your partner not give you any money from his earnings for the children or baby equipment?

Sounds like your in the same boat as me when I was with my ex. I used to get £17 per week and out of that had to come my travel to and from college, the weeks food and the clothes and shoes for the children. I was also paying off debt too.

Yep, have a good sort out and sell anything you don't use anymore. CD's, DVDs, clothes, videos, shoes, coats etc etc. You'll be amazed at how much you'll get for them and it will pay off a good chunk of the debt.

  • shift the debt from tsb card to 0% card - at least that amount will not incur 15.9% interest

I would transfer as much as possible on to the 0% card asap to minimise the amount of money you're repaying being lost in interest.

Applying for a loan in your situation is probably not a good idea as any lender who accepts you would probably want a horrendous APR.
