    HI,

well, Ive decided to bite the bullet and am waiting for my appintment with CCCS next week. Just want the forms to come so I can fill them out. Hopefully I can then talk it all through and see what would be my best option - whether it be a remortgage, DMP or whatever.

Wish me luck! (I actually feel quite sick about it all now).

    Hi Sea,

So easy to slip back into old ways, I know, I built up debts and cleared them 3 times before I found this site, now I'm still paying for it and will be for a while!
    Welcome back babe!

TIP: If you're filling your petrol up anyway, make sure you always fill up at a station such as Morrisons, those £5 shopping vouchers come in handy and it's amazing how often I get them.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • Hi, Well done for posting the new SOA, I hope it helped actually writing it all down. A couple of things came to mind, you work part time but your childcare costs are quite high, presumably because your children are quite small. Are there any other options such as sharing childcare with friends or family?
I noticed you have the same Egg life of balance 5.9% deal as me. Recently, having paid a bit off, I requested (online) for an increase in credit limit and it was agreed there and then. Income should not be too much of a problem if you include your OH earnings with overtime as househod income. It if works you could maybe transfer some of your higher interest rate card debts onto the Egg. Just an idea!
Hopefully others will come in with further suggestions.

    Good Luck

My mother-in-law looks after dd one day and my dh takes the morning off another day so we only have to pay childcare for two days a week for them both.

Thanks- I've included dh's income and we're still down by over £500 a month. I have thought about shifting the balance across - I'm just waiting now to see what the CCCS say now and take it from there. I thought I had it all under control - obviously not!! :o

    Thanks again for the replies
