Poker set

We learned to play poker over Christmas with friends and are looking for a poker set, either in a tin or a box.

Anyone know of the cheapest deal on one of these?

You can get them for peanuts in most places Tesco had one I think they were giving them away on r+r at one point I cant remember if they were £7 or £14. That was just a "toy" set with plastic chips not the clay chips you get in casinos they feels nicer and make a anice sound when they clank together, you will pay a lot for a full set of those

I think it might be the toy set I'm looking for, everywhere seems to be around £15. Will check out Tesco though as havent seen them in there yet.

    Proper sets dont cost alot.

Try woolworths, I saw a few proper poker sets, with clay chips, and cards, table felt and dealer/blind buttons ranging from about £5, upto £25

Aldi were doing a good one a month or two ago. £7.99. BIL bought one there last weekend.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.
  • Argos do some nice cheap ones too at the mo.

    :)
  • I bought the Aluminium Case 600 chip set from Argos before Xmas for just £20 (half price) which works out at 3.33p per chip (not including case or cards etc). Bargain. :D

I'd recommend whatever set you go for, get clay casino style chips that weigh 11.5g (individually) for a quality feel.

I found one in Boots today, 75% off so I paid £5. I'm pleased with it, thanks for your posts.
