Just got a reply from them asking to give them my route and airline. I asked wthether this meal is free. I will let you know when get the response.
I've receved the response:
"Hi, I think that most airlines will provide the meal free of charge but if not it would have to be paid by yourself. Regards,Mary"
it's not very clear answer whether it's a 100% free.....0 -
I got confused about this meal. Do they want us to test normal in flight meal which is for everybody else or you will be given completely different meal to test?0

It seems that if you food is complimentary with flight then its free but if you're going with a budget airline then you will have to pay. Syscanners are not providing the meal, it'll be standard airline fare0

I emailed them yesterday night but will be flying next monday.
Didn't receive anything from them yet ...0 -
The meals in flights are free! It's not Ryanair. It depends on the lenght of the flight. Sometimes you get drinks and snacks and if the flight is longer you would get lunch or dinner or breakfast. Complimentary. Oki1875, tell them your name. Don't mention surname of you don't want. Just follow the instructions in my first post. I guess Skyscanner should get back with more questions/details what to do next once you email them with the initial details requested.0

What's the fuss going on with the meail?
The airlines mentioned are not budget airlines- they are good airlines like Luftansa or Airfrance etc. They give snacks or meals for FREE! If you are not sure please visit airlines website to find out about the meal options for your flight and wether they are complimentary. Skyscanner is not going to provide any free meal. And if an airline won't provide a meal for free you will have to purchase it in order to test it and provide the details to Skyscanner so they can give you a voucher. Check with Skycanner regarding snacks and drinks. Some of the passengers may take short flights so they would't receive a full meal. Does testing a drink and a snack qualify?
I hope it is clear now for everyone0 -
