New bed for my toddler

Hi

I am new to this forum, sorry if I am posting in wrong place.

I am looking to buy a bed along with mattress for my 2 year old girl.
Please suggest where can I find it cheap or some deals running.

Thanks

Argos, John Lewis, Debenhams currently have one of their big sales on at the moment.

If you have a local "pile em high, sell em cheap" bed warehouse they are worth visiting - check Yell.com or similar. We paid £60 for a single bed and matress which served our daughter for three years.

    Hello shonarup

    Welcome to the MSE site.

  • I got my little ones extendable toddler bed from ebay for a tenner so I would definitely look on auction sites or preloved sites such as gumtree. Also, might find something on your local freecycle or freegle network. There are some facebook sites for your local area that people list things for sale on. Some are really cheap.

But you can get the exact same one I got from ebay in Ikea and they go all the way up to full single size so are really worth the money. They also do the extendable mattress's to match:
  • Definitely IKEA as your first resort. You could always perhaps buy a second hand base and then get a new mattress for it. This might keep the cost down?
  • I ordered it at babycarecentres as they were really cheap, had even som emore baby stuff.

Just got a call from them that they are now out of stock for the bed, so searching again

I am looking for a bed too for my nearly 4 year old grandson.

I think I will just go to the big bed / furnature type places as I don't want anything too firm as he is only little. (You can't try out online!)
