tbh im fed up with people sending me threatening letters . moroncroft threatening visits 2 months after br:mad:
im not really expecting advice as weve already been there just needed to tell people really.
there is one thing though, what happens next year when im dishcharged will it be worse?

It's horrible when DCAs don't listen to you. I had issues with one company in the weeks following my BR, I was getting letters weekly along with text message on virtually an hourly basis coupled with phonecalls.
When I eventually phoned them back I had to lodge a formal complaint relating to the way he spoke to me. To say he was rude is a huge understatement (he was screaming down the phone at me, using my full name to ensure that there wasn't a single person in his office who wasn't aware of who he was speaking to!)
However, after this I had nothing at all from anyone. No more letters, texts or phonecalls from anyone, and I've had absolutely zip since discharge, so don't worry about it getting worse after you're dischargedFeb 2024:

It'll go quiet mandy eventually...there's always one DCA/Creditor that takes the !!!!, you dont have to say anything to them its all in the OR's hands now and till your discharged if they start to continue hassling you just forward everything onto the OR and as wild said they'll not hassle you after discharge
I used to have the same with o2 they called and called and called..in the end I had a little fun with them used to say "oh hang on someones at the door" left them waiting on the phone while I went about the day...75 minutes one time bless her!We all die. As the others have said it will stop in time, I still got letters a few months after my BR, I just ripped them up and binned them, if and it is a massive if, anyone does turn up again, just ask them politely to leave, if they refuse tell them you are ringing the police and just shut the door.:pB&SC No. 298

Have fun with them Mandy! Do what Phil does if they call. Leave the phone down and go on about your business. I'll be glad to be able to answer my phone, finally, on Thursday!
Then the journey begins......I can finally start to look forward to my wedding next year, my OH keeps telling me that I should be more excited. I will be, once the BR cloud goes away!:smileyheaMarried on 20/07/2012! :smileyhea

Also Mandy, don't suffer with these clowns if it helps you....send this to the offending parties:-
Fermi’s letter, send recorded delivery and and PRINT your sig dont sign.......companies in the past have been known to do a few naughty things with signaturesYour AddressDate:
Creditors Address.
NOTICE: Pursuit of a debt included in a bankruptcy. Do not ignore this letter. You must cease collection activity IMMEDIATELY.
Dear Sir/Madam
Account No: 4563210025897412
You have contacted us regarding the account with the above reference number, which you claim is owed by ourselves.
I would point out that the account was included in my bankruptcy which commenced on <date>.
Consequently, the debt in question is no longer my legal responsibility.
ALL contacts and claims regarding the debt MUST be addressed to the Official Receiver's Office dealing with the case.
My case was XXX of 200X, at <somewhere> County Court, and the address of the Official Receiver is below.
<Address of the OR.>
A copy of the bankruptcy order is enclosed for your convenience.
Please note that the Official Receiver has requested that all future contact from your company regarding these accounts is reported and forwarded to themselves, and that continued contact with myself may result in Official Receiver taking enforcement actions against your organisation.
Please also note that we are familiar with the ‘Office of Fair Trading Debt Collection Guidance’ which states that it is unfair to send demands for payment to an individual when the debt is not due.
In not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried or disputed debt you are using deceptive/and or unfair methods.
Furthermore, ignoring and/or disregarding claims that debts have been settled or are disputed and continuing to make unjustified demands for payment amounts to physical/psychological harassment.
In addition, your continued telephone calls are in breach of the Office of Fair Trading guidelines. If you continue with them after the receipt of this letter an official complaint, together with a log recording the times and frequency of the calls will be passed both to that office and to the Trading Standards office.
This type of debt collection method is contrary to the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, in that it is intended to cause alarm and distress to the recipient.
Your methods will not be tolerated.
A formal complaint will be submitted to the relevant authorities. This will be relevant to questions of your fitness to hold a licence under the Consumer Credit Act, whether or not it results in a prosecution.
Take further note that continued telephone calls after the receipt of a request not to call may constitute a criminal offence under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003.
We await your written confirmation that this matter is now closed.
We look forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully
