Solicitor is required to get a deed of consent for all occupiers over 17 not party to the mortgage.
Regardless of this you will still need to disclose the source of deposit and as it is not from a close family member of yours they will not allow it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I don't see a problem with it - people can be "non-family" and still be closer than family. I think If his mum wants to give you money to help you out - that's her business. Its your mortgage and you can pay it, I don't see an issue as long as the gift is "unconditional".0

Well thats just wonderful.
Im now wondering why my mortgage advisor didnt inform me of this.
He said it would be okay.
What options do I have now then? I am unable to get the money off any other family member.
Could I not get the money from her and get a family member to put it in their account and transfer it to me? And say they have given it me?0 -
