Mouldy freezer

Options
My builders unplugged the freezer several months ago, and it ended up reaaly mouldy. For a variety of reasons, I am only getting around to cleaning it now. It's black and smelly. What is good for cleaning mouldy fridges and freezers? I remember Aggie in "How clean is your house" mentioning putting coffee granules to help with the odour. Can anyone advise?

Yeurk, I hate mould.

I literally just solved this problem in my own house yesterday!! We went away for Christmas and so turned the fridge off while we were away.... not realising you're meant to leave the door of the fridge open whenever you turn it off!!
Anyhow what I did (on advice from the mother) was boil the kettle, really hot water and lemon juice and a bit of antibacterial too. Had another bowl of water next to me too to clean the sponges off a bit. Took a deep breath and went for it. It now looks and smells as good as new!! I'd chuck the sponges you use out tho.

    Yuck i hate mould too!!!
