actually fairly simple....
i found a tree design online (if you want i can email you it).
inserted it into a word document (made it A3 size) and then got a font i liked and wrote the wording on the bottom.
created a pdf from the document to make sure that what ever pc i printed it from my txt wouldn't change
bought A3 ivory card and gave it to my brother to print out (he's an architect so he could get it printed off on their large plotters)
bought a black frame from ikea (this one)
stuck the picture of the tree to the mounting so it wouldn't move
then on the day of the wedding our venue had it sitting out with the ink pads i'd left and the pens (and baby wipes lol) so instead of a guest book we had the tree where everyone left their print and signed their name!
there are plenty of other ways to do it but getting the image printed out was the easiest for me and i'm a bit of a techy nerd anyway so i like doing that stuff.
Please could you email me the tree design if thats ok?
I love it, its a great idea! Congratulations, your pictures are beautiful

Thank you so much- our wedding colours are blue and yellow so you've given me lots of ideas

I particularly love the iris's- a florist I spoke to said they wouldn't recommend them for a bouquet as they wilt quickly when they're out of water. Did you have any problems with wiltage?!
Also your arrangements in the church looked awesome, the mini sunflower type flowers looks so bright and cheerful
the yellow ball type flowers are - craspedia (billy balls), the rest are irises, hyacinths, statice, veronica, anemones and lysanthus0 -

the iris's do tend to wilt quicker than other flowers but my florist said as long as they're structured well with stronger flowers surrounding them they'll be okay... they were the first to wilt mind you.
as for the yellow flowers in the church were mini gerbera
i was adament that my flowers would be bright and cheerful in purples and yellows but i didn't want them to be very formal, more like they'd been gathered from a garden and my florist got it spot on.
If you pm me your email address i can send you further pics of my bridesmaid bouquet and the church flowers and the stands outside if you want to use them as something to show your florist.0 -
