I'm 34 and in reciept of a War pension which is paid to me every month. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to free up this pension in order to help me raise a deposit for a house. I have looked online but it seems it possible to do this if your over 55 but i can't see anything relating to my circumstances.
Many thanks in advance

I would think not, but don't know. Perhaps someone will come soon who knows about MOD pension rules ( I assume you are talking about age 55 lump sums).
But you say you are getting it already, so were you injured that you get it already? Widowed? I am not sure why you get it paid already, and would assume the lump sum would have already been paid if due?
What I do know is that pensions are for retirement, not buying houses in your 30s. I suggest you save up for your deposit by cutting spending and raising income in other ways.0 -
I doubt you'll be able to commute the payment for a one-off lump sum, but the place to start is here:

Which scheme you're under depends on date of injury. It only takes one tree to make a thousand matches, it only takes one match to burn a thousand trees. As well, the cars are all passing me, bright lights are flashing me.

Why did he think "systolic" ?0
