DFS not taken first DD payment

Not sure if this is the place, but it's seems most suitable.
In July last year my partner and I brought a sofa from DFS.
The direct debit payments were meant to start on 30th August, however nothing has been taken as yet.
Does anyone know why this would be??

It's possible they left it till after the weekend. Give them a call if you're concerned, they should be able to tell you whether they took it last week or are planning to do so this week instead.
Remember, DD's nearly always say they'll take payments "On or around" a date, so there's no real need to panic yet.0
