My dress is at my nans,it should be ready next month as my mums friend is altering it then it will stay at my nans till the day before the wedding so i will try it on again a few weeks before just to make sure it still fits like a glove0

I alterations up to the week before the wedding. I collected my dress (after another trying on session to check the fit was still good) two days before the wedding. The alterations lady noted the dates in her diary several months before and she managed her workload that way. She said she always kept a free hour after a final fitting just in case!
Not sure if that is standard but the alterations were done locally to me and not through a shop.0 -
my dress is hanging at my nans house a size 16, needs to be taken into a size 12 so desperate to try it on now, but going to wait till end of this year...then again before we have it altered about june next year....for september wedding. Cost 950 new, i got it new 250 and they let me pay in instalments as a freinds mum sold her shop, so im over the moon with my bargin and has a contact who wil alter it for £80!
