lang8er,
could you work evenings or weekends? that might be an idea if you can get free childcare to look after the kiddies:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I have been offered a different job where I used to work doing 3 mornings a week but I was hoping to get something I could do from home in the evenings so I could clear some of my o/d. I am lucky that I won't have to pay for childcare because my Mum and my partner's Mum are available for childcare duties hehe!.
The search for a decent job from home continues.....0 -
How about selling on Amazon Marketplace? I do that.
There is a whole thread about that on here in the ebay/auctions etc. section.0 -
So sorry to hear. I just started with them today. It's quite addictive, I only meant to be there for an hour but now it's 12:30!When you're going through Hell, Keep going!

I didn't get through either....but you can reapply.
I applied again and got the application pack - but I've got an essay due in and don't have the time to spare to sit and do the test questions - plus I got all the same questions as last time so I would have to work extra hard on them cos I didn't pass last time, so....Proud DFW Nerd #62

Meant to add Lang8r, I also had to do two tests to get in. I had to chop back my first answers so much, I actually butchered them till they were UNDER the word limit.. how embarrassing..!
I did the first test on Boxing day, the second I found in my inbox at the end of a loooong working day at the yard. I was so tired I wanted to fall into bed but I swigged down 3 coffees and forced myself through it there and then. I got 'approved' the next day I think, but I didn't actually find out until after New Year as I was away!
However I was thinking the same as you all New Year, I was so hoping that this could be the much needed earning boost, and that I'd be absolutely devastated if after all that work I was rejected. It must be absolutely horrible to have lost out.
Are you certain you can't reapply in the future? I kept telling myself I'd do that. Best of luck whatever you decide, the right role will come. I've been jobless regularly and always landed on my feet eventually, without major damage. When you're going through Hell, Keep going!
