Apple jelly is too sweet

I am in the process of making apple jelly and it's nearly ready... Excet that it is exceptionally sweet. Any ideas what I can do about that? or is it supposed to be very sweet?

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Sweetness depends greatly on apples used, but it is meant to be rather tart IMO. Not sure how you measured sugar, but I have always used three-quarters of pound of sugar to each pint of juice and some lemon juice, maybe tablespoon to each pint. This makes a nice jelly which keeps well.

Not sure if you want to go to trouble of cooking and straining some more apples to add juice to what you already have done, unless it is sickly sweet I wouldn't bother, won't last long if you have any children in the house!
