Gift cards with nectar points?

I noticed earlier that sainsburys doesn't give nectar points on the part of the bill you pay for with nectar vouchers, fair enough, but does anyone know if you get nectar points if you spend with a gift card? You could then buy a gift card with your points and then you'd get points when you used the gift card. Okay, it only amounts to a 1% saving but it's better than nothing
