I bought a Value-class return train ticket pending an interview, and then found (luckily) that I didn't need to take the interview any more, due to having secured a job already. The company I was going to interview for wants to cancel this current interview and reschedule for the end of my existing contract, which means I don't need the trip any more.

However. The tickets, because they're Value-class, are marked "non-refundable", which means I have two options:
- Either I attempt to get a refund for a "non-refundable" ticket (is this even possible?), or;
- Does anyone want to go from Manchester to London tomorrow, returning Friday? If so, just throw a post in this thread or PM, and you can buy the thing.

I had a similar problem last year. I failed to get a refund and ended up £50 out of pocket :-(
Good luck!!0 -
If a refund isn't likely, see if someone can use it on Freecycle?
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!
