i'm not sure what cards you have and its probably getting a bit late for getting a new card before the end of the month but
option one :
assuming you already have an EGG MONEY card with a zero balance and you can get a BT card at 0%
then BT from eggmoney to your 0% BT card so that egg how has a positive amount and your 0% card has a debit amount ...you may have to pay a BT fee on your 0% card however.
now BT from you current a/c to eggmoney bring the egg card back to zero and your current a/c now has a lovely amount of money which you use to pay off the tax bill. because the egg money was in credit you do not pay a BT charge.
so as long as your clear the 0% card before the offer period runs out all you pay is the BT fee if any.
option 2
however if you dont have a 0% card and can only use the eggmoney card.
Now a feature of eggmoney is i doesnot charge a cash advance fee (you might want to check that) so you could withdraw cash .. you may need to do this over a number of days...you will pay interest of course but needs must ... if you could then get a 0% card then you could BT it off the eggmoney so reducing the overall interest payments.
does this help at all?0 -
Okay, I phone MBNA (the 0% card) and say I'd like to transfer £1750 to the Egg Money card - making Egg Money plus. Then I move that to the current account.
Excellent, thank you. I was getting totally spun out with all these figures. Parents eh  Who'd have em?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Check with mbna - they may do a balance transfer into your bank account - they did for me when I wanted to pay off two balances - saved 2 fees (as it was capped).0

the more information provided at the beginning the better the quality of the advise returned.
now you didn't say you already had a 0% MBNA card ....
now check the details but MBNA usually allow you to directly BT from your current account... so you dont need the complicate EGG Money approach ..although it will work of course.
sorry to confuse again.0 -
Sorry I didn't realise either, mother just said this evening when I said about getting a new 0% card.
All sorted now
Thanks so muchNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
