Hi
Has anyone used this before? Its from jml.
I have always struggled to get fondation that looks right. Im forever spending money (and foundations arnt cheap) on new stuff. I have red hair(auburn) which sometimes ,if i get the foundation wrong, i look orange.
Another problem is i get ,is between my eyebrows the foundation looks wrong. Either crumbly, or orange. If it goes on my eye brows they look orange under the eyebrow hair.(i have mousy brown eyebrows.
Do you blend your foundation into your chin/neck. I worry sometimes it dosnt look right.
Any advice would be great. Especially regarding anyone whos used the jml stuff. thanks!!!!

I cant comment on the magic minerals as I haven't used it but I think whats happening with your foundation is your simply using the wrong colour or formulation, as you say you have red hair I'm guessing your pale, good products for pale skin are made by Revlon, MAC and very pale would be GOSH, depending on the oiliness of your skin I think you would benefit from a primer, the reason why your foundation looks wrong inbetween your eyebrows is when the natural oil starts to form on your T zone it oxidizes and the colour of your make up changes (darkens), No 7 primer in the white tube should help and yes I do blend my foundation down my neck:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

How do you know a colour is the right colour? Ive always assumed you shouldnt see you have stuff on. I have asked assistants in shops and they ahve no idea(boots, superdrug)
Ahh, thanks for explaining about the tzone.
You wouldnt happen to know the name of the primer? they have calming, make up base ect... bit confused
What do primers do? I know that sounds so dumb, but i really dont know
My sister came down recently and laughed at me as i put it down my neck!
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!0 -
I reviewed this not too long ago:
http://biancasbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/jml-magic-minerals-mineral-powder.html
http://biancasbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/jml-magic-minerals-lash-extending.html
To summarise, the mascara is great but the powder is rubbish!
Hope this helps
PS: Primer helps your makeup to stay on for longer. I also second the No7 one in the white tube (also reviewed on my blog; just type primer into the search bar on my blog and it should come up) - I have oily skin too and even without makeup it helps to mattify the look of oily skin so is a nice thing to have
I do know the feeling re foundation as I too am very pale. The recommendations for foundation given by popadom are very good; Bobbi Brown and RMK are also nice but not very MSE

Is this the primer:http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Shine-Free-Make-Up-Base_15552/0 -
Elemental beauty do mineral makeup in very pale shades, and it's very easy to keep that stuff sheer.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Hi popadom,
Might not be what you are after but whenever I get bored with my eye make up etc I go onto you tube and look for reviews and ideas from some of the posters on there. If you just type into search engine...no 7 primer, or mineral foundation, you will get a shed load of choices to view and help you work out a) the look you are after and b) best products for you. I've found lots of helpful info.

You should go to a department store and ask one of the assistants there forget about Boots etc, once you know your colour you can choose a brand from elsewhere if you want to and your right you shouldnt see foundation just an improved version of yourself. Mac is very good for colour matching as they have such a huge choice and I believe so is Bobbi Brown. The other posters are correct with the primer this particular one absorbs oil, it can be slightly drying and little goes a long way, you can also get ones that even out skin tone, brighten or even fill in wrinkles - temporarily of course;)
Not sure why your sister laughed at you, if youve improved the look of skin on your face it will no longer match your neck so it would stand to reason that your neck needs a product too, its true you might not need as much but a tide mark around the jaw line is never ever a good look:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
That is the right primer yes

I personally don't think you need to apply a product on your neck/spread foundation way down onto it unless you have something there that you really want to cover. I personally put it on my face, then blend around the jawline to make sure there is no visible line or tide mark.0 -
I bought the primer, getting used to it. Used a bit to much on my cheek and nose...not the look i was going for but i think ill get the hang of it. Bought a foundation in boots, no7 in alabaster. I went up to the assistant for advice and she helped. Its so nice to have one that makes me look healthy not tangoed! Thanks for the advice!1!!!0
