Self-employment and HB but applying for a Mortgage?

Hi all,

Just new to this section and I've just signed off JSA and will start my own business but will be applying for a mortgage with my sister in a month. I presume I will have to go off HB/CTB for the application. We have a 10% deposit for the flat but does anyone have any experience with this? How to proceed?

Any comments/experiences appreciated!

I'm not sure how much difference it makes as you're applying with your sister, but mortgage companies seem to want 2 years worth of accounts from self-employed people before considering them for a mortgage.
