What's happened to my pan?

I have a Judge saute pan and the base has gone concave, it's no longer flat and rocks on the flat electric plate of my cooker. It seems like now only food in the very centre gets cooked, food on the outside of the pan barely sizzles
I need to get a new pan but want to know what caused this so I don't write off another pan
Thanks

Either dropped on something to dent the base, or it's been too hot.
Has it dried out on the cooker at any time?
Addition:
Are you into the habit of putting a red hot pan into cold water by any chance?
That won't do it any good either.0 -
Maybe you could contact Judge to see if it's a product fault?0

Sounds like it's been overheated at some point tbh. This often distorts the base of big pans, and it's more commom on electric rings than on gas because of the way the heat is transferred.Val.0

I did it with my old cheap pans by frozen veg in the pan put on a hot hob
now I make sure I have boiling water in there before I add the veg.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I think you're probably right and it was a hot hob. We've just moved house and where we were before had gas and our new house has solid electric plates that have taken a lot of getting used to.0
