Clinique DDM lotion

Hi, does anyone think this stuff is worth buying (the big bottle at £28). I have just bought some for my friend's birthday which I don't mind paying that at all for a present for a close friend but was wondering about getting some for myself as my friend says its really good and lasts for ages but the outlay seems a lot for a moisturiser as I usually pay about a tenner for mine (Boots No7 or Body Shop).

  • Yes as it will last you a lot longer than your Boots or Body Shop as you only need a very small amount you can ask them for a sample so you can try it I hav not used it but I do like Estee Lauder stuff and it seems to last for ever .................
  • it depends on your skin type. for some it breaks them out - but for me it suits my combination skin really well. you could ask at a counter for a sample -they may put some in a small pot or if your friend is a regular clinique user they may have a sample size to lend you. b4 i changed to ddml 11 years ago - i used to used the ponds cold cream as a moisturiser - as mums did then but it never suited me and gave me breakout. i change to many others like olay, neutrogena loreal no7 etc. and then i got a sample of this and tried it for a month. then went back to one of my old ones and tried ddml again a month later and felt my skin was better and was confident to purchase. not looked back since.

so i guess it's trial and error. i usually use one pump sometimes 2 at night especially (i don't reallly use anything else) the big pot lasts me about 6-8 months (i use it oct to mar and if i have some left i leave it til following oct as then i use the gel during warmer time april to september)

    HTH!
  • DDM makes my skin really oily and shiny, the gel version is much better for my skin. I am currently trying to find a moisturisier that will mattify my shiny T-zone, not an easy task.

You could pick up one of the wee ones from the GWP sets on ebay to try it out.

It doesn't suit my skin either, so I guess it's down to the individual. If your friend likes it she'll be happy with this as a gift and realise how much it has cost.

Do not underestimate the positive effect of any moisturiser, even those from Poundland. I personally like good old olive oil as a body moisturiser.

  • I love Clinique DDM :) but I use the gel as this is the one for my skintype. I find a pot lasts me 6-8months so is well worth the price. If you are savvy and buy it and another product during the Bonus time offers they have then you can get a free goody bag with about 5 items which are decent size for travel etc.

I use the DDM gel - Its the best I've found, there may be better, but its the best I've found.

I've used both DDML/DDMG and prefer the latter because it feels lighter on my skin, which I like. If you google around or perhaps try ebay I'm sure you can find a 125ml bottle for less than RRP.

It does last ages though, as unlike some other moisturizers you only need to use a small amount.

Aldi do a moisturising gel for only £2.99 or thereabouts and honestly it's really good. It's pale blue and smells very fresh and clean. Try it.
