Earlier this year we paid off our Halifax mortgage. When i asked about the deeds i was told they were not issued anymore but electronically held. However i need to see details regarding my property which says refer to ' Deeds' so how can we go about this?

You can download the documents from the Land Registry as pdf files. It costs £4 for the register entry and £4 for the plan showing the land you actually own.0

If there is anything of relevance in discarded paper document it will either have been copied into the text of the "office copies" or a scanned version will be available for purchase. Its most likely that the paper documents were discarded and sent to the owner at the time of sale or remortgage when the Land registry was concentrating on making things more electronic.0
