Eye test and glasses

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct place for this thread but I'm looking to get my eyes tested. I will need glasses and i was just wondering where the best place to go.

The opticians near me:

Asda
Vision express
Boots
Optical express

plus some local independent ones as well.

In most national magazines and Sunday Supplements, Boots are printing a voucher to Get an eye test at one of their opticians for just £5. I have just used it and had no problems. They also have offers on basic specs and the prices are great,

Boots are good for eye tests, Asda are good for glasses.

If you are on various different benefits you get a free eye test anyway.

If you are brave enough, and your prescription is fairly simple (not varifocals etc) you could go round trying some on in the various opticians to see what suits you and what fits you and get some online, there's a few links on here if you search for spectacles or the suchlike. In all honesty though, I would probably buy in a shop for the first pair so you would have better recourse if you were not happy with them.
