Honeymoon

Hi,

I'm getting married in October 2013, does anyone have any ideas for where to go?

Our options are either 7 days on our own, or 14 days where the rest of our family and 2 children join us for the 2nd week.

Comments

  • It depends, firstly are you thinking UK or abroad?
What's your budget and what sort of holiday do you want? Relaxing? Sunshine? Beaches? City? Active?
If people are going to join you in the second week you may need to consider their budgets as well as your own. You would need to select a place where the children have something to do but not so child friendly that you are falling over other children in your first week while you are trying to be relaxed and "honeymoony".
What ages are the children? Be aware as it may fall into term time (depending on when in October you go) you may experience resistance from the school with it being near the start of the school year.

Hope this gives you something to think about.

We had 7 nights away in Marrakech and then spent a week chilling out at home and doing things in here in the UK when we got married in June this year :) It was nice as we got the best of both worlds, time away and then time spents at home.

Thanks for the tip, were on a tight budget so looking at a week all inclusive in Djerba. Am now in the process of looking for somewhere to go with the kids and both sets of parents in the October half term.
