Solar PV - Recommended Installers

Hi

I am looking to get Solar PV and one of the criteria is a reputable installer.

Can anyone recommend any of the bigger / national names to get quotes from (not any that use double glazing style sales tactics etc)

Any advice appreciated

Thks

check the MCS database for local companies, get as many quotes as you can until you are satisfied.

Why nationals? You'll get a much better service from most local companies, you will often get the owner visiting and will get much better advice and options than using a national firm with sales people interested in their next sale rather than your roof. You get the added buzz of helping your local economy and your cash circulating locally rather than to national conglomerates.

Not sure where you are. I am in the process of a new build and as I type, these guys are doing an excellent job: http://www.solarpartner.co.uk (Milton Keynes area)
However, to be fair, I have to wait for connection to see how much electricity is actually generated

I'd second the benefits of using a local, independent installer. It's so much better to be able to deal with the owner directly, and they appreciate the importance of local word-of-mouth, so should give good service.

We used Cambridge Solar and were extremely impressed with them.
Would recommend to anyone in the Cambridgeshire area.
