double checking the hut are a very large organisation, do you think they would really be fakes?

We took the gamble and ordered a pair of classic tall Uggs from The Hut at the weekend, they arrived yesterday and have the 2 new security "sun" sticker thingies that Deckers have recently been using, one on the box and one sewn in onto the label inside one of the boots.

If you go to the official UGG website you'll see what I'm talking about (I'm a relatively new user so i can't post links apparently)

Have to say, despite my hesitance about buying from The Hut, they came through on this one.
  • I would not purchase the hut is not on
    Authorized Online Retailers

and they said if they not on then they not genuine ?

Selfridges are not on there but they sell them. Would one of the world's most famous shops sell fakes?
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.
  • I emailed the Hut to ask about this and this was their response

    Thank you for your message.

I am very sorry for the delay in replying to your message.

I can confirm that all of our UGG boots are supplied from UGG them self directly, they are official items,

If there is anything else i can help with please feel free to contact me.

  • Just spoke to gemma at Ugg australia customer services 0207 949 1114
and she comfirmed if that the are not a registered sellers list and said that she would not recommend purchasing them as they are possibly fake.
  • But Harrods are on the retail list AND web list which by your reckoning means that selfridges are ok from the store but not online
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.
  • Are there such things as fake UGG boot and can you tell the difference?

Is Ugg a trademark or a generic term for the type of boot. And if it is a trademark and you buy a pair not made by Deckers (who do not hold the Trademark in NZ and Australia) could anyone you know tell the difference.

That all said.. my daughter wants a pair and knows the bloody difference and will not be happy if i buy 'fakes' (or would they be fakes)???

Ugh, I really want to get them but only if they're real, doesn't help that Gemma said they're fake and the email said they're legit! lol
  • I have only just had my refund processed after my money was taken for a pair Ugg boots which were never in stock although it said they were. I always thought The Hut were a good company but after my recent experiences I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole! If you had to return an item, I would worry about that process as the customer services is very lax to say the least. Also why werethey were selling tall uggs at £140 at the beginning of the season when everwhere else they are over £200? Maybe they are genuine, but if you have a problem with them don't expect to get a refund without a fight!
