Hi, I have never posted here before but i read the forums daily.
Anyway to cut a long story short, i had a ccj sent to me for a loan i defaulted on and they wanted instalments of £181.00 a mth, at the time i didn't think i could afford it so sent it back pffering a smaller amount, in the meantime i have paid off some other smaller debts so could now afford the bigger payment, but i've been sent a notice of hearing at the local court, i really could do without going to court and would be prepared to pay the amount they origanally proposed, would it be worth me ringing the solicitors involved and making them an offer to settle out of court, i am a nervous person as it is and a court appearance scares the life out of me, please advise me if you have any experience of this or advice .
Desperate thanks
BM

I think if you offer to pay before the court date then this would settle the matter, but I am not sure. It would probably be better to write to the creditor direct saying that you can now pay the original amount a month.
someone with more knowledge will be a long shortly

Thanks , I will write to the creditor and see what they say, anythings better than having to go to court, I am sick with worry about it.
