1st Time Buyers with Debts need Advice!!!

Hi,

Me & My partner are currently renting but are looking to buy. Unfortunatley we have a combined debt of £29,666. Is there a type of mortgage out there that you can include these debts on and pay off one lump sum per month? What we are paying to the cccs along with rent at the moment would probably pay a mortgage off per month easily.

Take it you have no deposit?

If so Northern rock did lend more than 100% value.

We bought in Oct and got a 100% mortgage, we looked into borrowing more than 100% and applied to Northern Rock, didn't get approved because i am from Australia and they considered it a risk.

We do have a deposit, my partner currently has £2,000 and i will be recieving a lump sum shortly. We did call northern rock and they declined, but did say that there would definetly be a company willing to give us a mortgage.

Check with a broker. This is a classic case to help you with. Just look for a local one (stay away from the large national ones as there you are just a number, a case, not a customer). Also read Martins Guide on this website.
