John - you do love providing unecessary information.

Why not wait until the OP comes back with more details before running every scenario under the sun past everyone?

We do try to keep things pertinent to specific situations on here and provide only relevant information, expanding and suggesting only if we feel it is useful to the individual to know a bit more.

  • I have a business manager that signs the finance docs all I do is tell them what it will cost per month. I don't give financial advice on their money matters.

I suppose I could just sell cars until my eventual discharge.

I do find it strange though that if it is a problem why no car sales job has ever asked me before?

I'm not authorised by the FSA but the premises does have a consumer credit license.

    Thanks

    should be fine then

double check with the employer/hr if you are worried
  • The business holds the licence not the employee. It is the businesses responsibility to comply with the FSA rules & regs.

This was from the CAG forum a while back. The question has been asked many times before mostly for banking/insurance advisors.

I know of several people in similar roles who continued without any issues through BR.

It sounds like the financial buck stops with your boss' signature. Your boss seems happy, there's nothing in your contract, so I wouldn't worry about it.

If you both wanted to be sure then your boss could always check with HR or the FSA.

    That is really unfair.

I gave good advice at first, speak to the FSA and OR, along with debtinfo's speak to HR.

There was nothing wrong with that at all, it was a direct answer to the individual.

Then I was asked, by another poster, quite rightly, and I have no issues at all, to justify and explain myself. I did, fully and clearly. People might not agree with me, but at least I took the time to explain.

Then you complain when I do so. What was I supposed to do, be rude and ignore it, or say "sorry mind your own business".

Was the long reply related to the original post? No, but I was asked a question and I answered it.

Trying to gang up on people and take the water out of them is just bullying.

I never had a problem either, and I explained that very clearly in my reply.
