  • Does it need to be a ready meal? We tend to make a tuna pasta bake once a week at the moment, using Asda's cheap as chips ingredients:
    Fusilli pasta - 89p for 500g
Asda smartprice tomatoes - 33p per can
Asda smartprice bolognese sauce - 32p per jar
Asda smartprice tuna - 45p per can.

I usually make up 300g of pasta, 1 can of tomatoes, 1/2 jar of bolognese sauce and 1 tin of tuna, then sprinkle two large handfuls of grated cheese (whatever is in) over the top. Per dish, it comes to about £1.53, and will feed two of us for two meals.
    Original debts: £14,250
Still to pay: £250 /£950 - Lloyds TSB overdraft (although with interest and charges, I've already paid £1,675!)

    VSP#150 - £68.25

  • I'd recommend making it yourself with cheap ingredients as above ^ I've seen a HUGE Asda Smartprice lasagne to feed at least a family of 4 priced around £3 I think. OOhh you mean the dish, erm Home Bargains?
  • I'm so thick :o Sorry, I thought you were asking for places that did a cheap MEAL!
We use a rectangular pyrex dish that was about £5 from Amazon, and I think we got free shipping on it at the time.

Will go and be a numpty elsewhere :o

  • To attone for embarrassing blonde moment, I did a quick google and came up with this one from Sainsbury's - £3.50 plus shipping or free collection, but I don't know if it's a bit small?

The OP wasn't rude, couldn't see any words of rudeness in their reply. Maybe it's the way you read it :money:

  • I use a square silicone one from home bargains..i think it was £3 ..the only reason i chose silicone is cos i do lasagne, tuna bakes etc in the Remoska, and silicone doesnt scratch it...but they do get a bit floppy..
