I wanna send flowers online - advice on the best companies

I would like to send flowers online. Never done this before. Looking for good companies to use. Cost is not really an issue ( I am not paying ), just as long as they are good.

  • Having tried a couple of others I now mostly use a company called simplyflowers.co.uk
They are only a smallish operation I believe but the customer service and quality of the flowers and arrangements has been superb.
I could highly reommend them. They have a loyalty scheme and the prices all include courier delivery (and VAT) which is not always the case with several other companies and is something to watch out for.
However I'm sure that there are lots of other good online florists. Especially if cost isn't much of an issue.

I have used both Tesco and Marks and Spencer quite a few times and would report that both companies do provide an excellent floral delivery service. On preference I would use Tesco simply for the clubcard points and if you check the voucher board you may be able to get a code for extra points etc .

I send flowers about3 or 4 times a year and have always used John Lewis or M and S. However I was very lucky and received 3 bouquets myself just before Christmas. 1 from M and s, one Tescos and the other a hand tied bunch ordered via interflora. The ones from the local florist were absolutely fantastic in comparison to the other bunches and lasted for 4 or 5 days longer. I was a little dissapointed with the M and S ones as the Roses were of poor quality made me think about who I would be ordering from next time....

Do you think I would be better off going to a local florist rather than an online one. They are not a person to person gift, it is actually more a corporate gift.

I wouldn't recommend Tesco as the last few bouquets I've had from them have been in pretty poor condition. If you're not paying I would use John Lewis as they've always lasted well. Interflora (or similar) can be a bit hit & miss, it depends on the florist on the other end, sometimes amazing, sometime not. I think it's nicer to get a bouquet just in cellophane (ie from local florist/interflora) rather than having to battle through the big boxes many companies use to protect flowers when they are coming by courier.
  • A company that I have used is called flowercard.com who are from Guernsey.
Basically its a display of flowers presented in a card. It comes beautifully wrapped in a box. Ive used this for family members and are really stunning. They start from about £16 plus depending on what you want them for.
    Hope this helps.

I've used bunches.co.uk a few times now and they've been great, very reasonable and if you spend over £16 they throw in a small box of chocolates too.. they often have 10% off and various offers on too.. worth a look.

  • How about http://www.sunnysideflowers.co.uk
It's actually a farm which grows and mails it's own narcissus flowers.
The only way you can be let down is if the Royal Mail takes too long and even then you can get a free replacement order. Prices start from £7-99 inc deliveryand if you are on the mailing list you occasionally get discount codes as well! :j
