hi all see if someone can answer me this! I was discharged in 2007 theres nothing on my credit file to say that I ever been bankrupt, today I received a letter from Lloyds offering me just over £1000 will I be able to keep this?
thank you.0 -
Was the Lloyds PPI from before you were BR? If yes, then the money goes to the OR. They will do a BR check before giving you the cheque anyway and will be able to see you were BR and the money belongs to the IS. Your credit file is not the only source to check for BR. You are in the London Gazette for now and until the end of time.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

No. Unless your bankruptcy was annulled. The money belongs to your creditors. This is right and correct. Enjoy the fact that you're even more debt free than you were.AD March 2014

yep it was before BR! thanks :-(0 -
Then it is not yours and belongs to the OR. A lot of IS are going through the books claiming PPI. If it is found you took it then they can make you repay it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Hi
I've just made a successful claim for ppi mis-selling for a loan I had before my bankruptcy. I fully repaid the loan in 2004 and went bankrupt in 2009. Do I have to inform the receiver about this refund/payment?0 -
Yes, and don't be surprised when they demand it back.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
