So excited about my win!!

If they were scammers, then the 'prize' would have been a lot more than $300 (about £250). If you had got an email declaring you had won $300,000 then alarm bells should have rung.
They wanted your details just in case your original ones were out of date. They didn't want to mail the cheque to a complete stranger just cause you moved and forgot to update your details.

I've been with GTM for a while now - likewise, I was always a bit sceptical about the prize draws, so congratulations to the OP. I've never won a prize draw, but have "cashed out" several times, the cheque ( yes, they're US-based, so call it a check ! ) has always been in Sterling, converted from the USD amount. I would say they're actually one of the better survey sites for paying out - yes it takes a while, but I've never encountered any problems at all.0 -
Totally agree - was a nice surprise when I first cashed out as I had no idea how much I was getting until the cheque arrived weeks later.Ebe_Scrooge wrote: »I've been with GTM for a while now - likewise, I was always a bit sceptical about the prize draws, so congratulations to the OP. Me, too. Congratulations, OP! :j
I know what you mean about suspecting the email to be a scam. I actually contacted them by phone (using the number on their official site) to make sure that it was legit. Sure enough, my cheque (or "check"!) arrived after a while.
Brilliant surprise!0 -
I do surveys for GlobalTestMarket and they are definitely genuine. I would 100% definitely say they are the best of the survey sites out there. I have received around £150 from them. Never won anything on the sweepstakes though. Very pleased for you.0
