Incorrect default

Options
Just need some quick advice - I've just accessed my free Call Credit report and have seen some incorrect information has been reported by QuickQuid.

I was stupid enough to take out PDL with them which got me into no end of trouble - I have a default from them which was recorded in 2010, and I accepted that and have paid that one off in full...having said that, this record seems to indicate that I also defaulted on a PDL from them on 9th September 2009, when in fact my first PDL was taken out with QQ during that very same week, and repaid in full, as per the agreement, later that month.

However, despite the fact that I have defaults which are much younger than this particular one, I don't like the fact that they have recorded incorrect information on my file!

Has anyone else has experience of this, and does anyone know how I can get this default removed??

  • I've also just noticed these dates....

    Date Updated:01/11/2009
    Account Start Date:07/04/2009
    Account End Date:09/09/2009
    Account Opening Balance:£0
    Repayment Frequency:Monthly
    Default Date:09/09/2009
    Default Satisfied Date:09/09/2009

First of all, I'd never even heard of then in APril 2009 so how could I have opened an account with them??! Second, why is the date satisfied the same as the default date? :(
  • Hi there,

You're not the only one to have had this, see:

My Experian and Equifax are fine, only registered with Call credit.

  • You will need to raise a notice of correction (or notice of dispute) with callcredit. Pay day loans companies will have access to a 'closed user group' called SHARE, the other two UK CRA's use INSIGHT & KEYS

Because callcredit is UK only, they could potentially feed false data into their own database to say, we can find data that the other worldwide CRA's can not.

There is no problem with your situation because you could provide a Insight & Keys credit report to challenge the SHARE result. If you have the default on all three databases it would be the loans company feeding false data into the closed user group, if it is only on SHARE then Callcredit probably put it in themselves the crafty b45tards. In 2010 Callcredit was listing adolph hitler and nelosn mandella as living in london!!! One of their resellers got busted and was a big deal in UK papers, callcredit was so lucky the papers did not have the capacity to know who actually gave Creditsafe (reseller) the data that was being used. Creditsafe could not disclose Callcredits name as they have a non disclosure agreement in place :-)
