    I got one and threw it away, really regretting that if deals like this come up! Any chance the £10 code was universal, and someone could post it in the event of other good deals coming up?

    I just wondered if anyone has successfully got one of these TV`s??

    I ordered mine on Friday afternoon, paid with my card and had a confirmation email but Viking customer services have phoned me this morning to say that they are OOS and my order has been cancelled. I told the lady on the phone that it was in stock when I placed my order, it says so on my confirmation so how are they now mysteriously OOS ???? She was a bit flustered and didn`t really know what to say in reply she just repeated that they were cancelling and would send me a £10 voucher as a good will gesture.

    I wonder if they are cancelling all of the orders as this is a pricing error!!

    Hi karen,
    I also ordered one on friday and received my confirmation email stating that delivery would be today ( 5th sept ) ... I haven't had a delivery or cancellation phone call from them ... yet ...

    Yes my delivery date was estimated as 5/09, and my confirmation email has a green tick in the stock status box ! so very annoying.

    Hope you are lucky and they complete your order.

    Have you checked that the payment has been processed from your card, she said to me that they only process the payment once they are ready to dispatch.

  • I just wanted to thank the OP again for posting details of this. My TV arrived today, and it's incredible value for the price - we're really delighted with it. I've spent almost a fortnight trying to track down an HP touchpad for my husband without success so this has really cheered him up. :j

    I was very impressed with Viking Direct's customer service; I had a phone call early yesterday morning to say that they hadn't been able to arrange delivery for Monday because I was a new customer and they needed to verify my identity before despatching it. Although I didn't order it until late on Friday afternoon, they were really apologetic for the delay, and have sent a £10 voucher, as well as my free tub of Celebrations. To top it all, the delivery company they used even carried it into the living room instead of dumping it on the doorstep.

    You were very lucky Growlybear! I placed an order on Friday, had it confirmed, etc ..... However, no delivery yesterday or today.. I have just called them and they say that they only had 100 tv's available and that thousands and thousands of people called for this offer. She looked up my account and said it looks like I was one of the unlucky ones!!!! I tried to argue my case with her but she said that she has had thousands of calls from people saying the same thing as myself and they are passing it on to the internet ordering people and I should expect a phone call tomorrow..... : ( but definately no £99 tv for me.

    Hey, just enjoy the fact you were lucky!!! I actually received an email from Viking on my Blackberry at 4.10pm with this offer and responded immediately. I think they have got themselves into a big mess with this one!

    jammy begger. it was a 119 pound telly folks your forgetting vat. so it was not an error just a very limited deal. worth watching in the future.
