How much could we borrow?

Hi

Im looking to get a mortgage this year and was wondering how to work out what we could borrow?

Which companies lend on affordability rather than traditional salary multiples?

Should I post salarys on here and maybe a mortgage expert could give me an idea?

I've done some online calculators but not sure how accurate they are

Thanks!:D

The online calculators are pretty accurate, Try the one on nationwides site, its based on affordability.

However each lender calculates their affordability differently so you will see quite a difference depending on lender.

I wouldn't bother with the calculators. My partner and I earn good salary's and it comes up saying something silly like £98k, which wouldn't buy you anything here.

Got £140k by going through a broker
