Sofaspud1234- did you have to have business car insurance when you worked the care place? They told me I didnt need it but I think thats wrong x0 -
my lady is a care worker and works for an agency i wont name the company but its disgusting how how they treat the staff
she had to pay her crb bbut the company refunded it later
they dont pay her for training
they dont pay her milege
like you she only works in the weekend occasionally weekdays
they dont give her any hours some weeks and often deduct her wages when she recieves a complaint for being 10 mins late when the company doesnt give any travel time in between calls
i have asked her to leave community care work repeatedly and look to work in a care home working in community care does not pay the bills and is not worth it shes lucky to be 10 pound better off after paying out for petrol after a 6 hour shift0 -

surely you wont have lost the £40 for the CRB as you will have the CRB check piece of paper and you can use this for other jobs if necessary - doesnt sound a brilliant company - you can do better0

i know when its a self employed job they normally dont pay you for the training but to be fair a few days with no pay isn't as bad as most places. its normally a few months of training with no pay so i think your pritty lucky. i haven't heard of people paying for crb checks before but i guess it shows your willing to work and your commitment that you would pay them that.0

You need a CRB per company - so she can't then go and use that elsewhere sadly."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
According to the gov website it's up to the next company if they accept your old CRB check or if they want a new one although I imagine it'd be easy to forge one so most would want a new one.0
