  • Hi all, today I returned a cardigan to Asda, so I'm up £8. Had a look for something else, but there was nothing I liked. I ended up spending £9 on things which were on sale for this years birthdays etc. So, technically the £8 is gone. I then spent £3.20 on bread, oven chips, mincemeat pies. So that is £4.20 off my budget. Hope everyone is starting to feel a bit better, I've still got a bit of a sore head.

    Rog2, have a great break.
  • After 3 NSDs I had to open the purse today. £2.50 parking at the hospital for DH's clinic appointment, £1.33 on postage for Ebay item (though money for this is in my Paypal account) and £3.39 on a few essentials - toilet rolls, kitchen rolls and tissues (just realised these are all paper which will be thrown away after use :eek: )

    So £1.22 in my purse - thought is was less than that as there isn't a pound coin. Hoping to last through Thurs and Fri without any more spending. Baked 2 "cook at home" baguettes with the dinner tonight to use for lunches.

    Hope all who are feeling unwell or unhappy have a better day tomorrow.

    Re chocolate - I include it with my groceries so I suppose I do budget for it :D Mind you, unlike my DH, I only like a little bit of chocolate - 2 pieces is plenty and then the rest goes back into the fridge (hidden from DH). He is diabetic so shouldn't eat real chocolate - he has sugar free stuff (revolting but he says it is better than no chocolate at all).

    Been at work til 5, have been spending though today. Too much, but not as much as I could have, due to my determination on becoming Debt free, Ive spent;

    £2.64 at the post office ( Have sent bank charges reclaim letter off)
    £1 at pounland on batteries for digital camera
    £7 at blockbusters (' 1 xbox 360 game and 1 dvd)
    £1.15 redbull (Need a boost of energy ;))
    £1.80 chip sho

    Total: £13.69

    But I was so close to buying a game at blockbusters for £17.99, but managed to escape only borrowing one.
    I also got £20 from work today in tips for working Xmas day, which is all good :D So the £7 i spent at blockbusters isnt coming out of my Sunday to Friday challlenge :)

    Hope everyone is okay today :beer:

    Hey Lil_me, shame you don't live closer to me, I could do your tootsie's for nowt as long as you came to me (I'm doing the holistic therapy course).
    Why not do the course yourself next year - it's great 'cause you practice on each other to start with :D - and you get an extra discount off all the other treatments the college 'salon' offers... at least ours does. VERY MS ;)
