1. The promotion is open to UK residents aged 16 years or over only ("Entrants"), excluding employees of DSG Retail Limited (the "Promoter") and their families and the Promoter's associated companies (and their families), agents and anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
2. By entering the promotion, the winner may be required to take part in publicity as required by the Promoter and agrees to allow the Promoter the free use of their name, photographs and general locations for publicity and news purposes.
3. If you participate you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
4. To enter the promotion, visit https://www.pcworld.co.uk and complete the online entry form from Thursday 1st September 2011 until Wednesday 12th October 2011.
5. Participation is limited to one entry per entrant. All Entrants will be required to specify the name of a full time student enrolled in a UK university for the academic year 2011/12. The Entrant’s name and the specified student’s name may be the same.
6. Entry is free and no purchase is necessary, but Entrants should be aware that they may be subject to local call charges depending on their own individual arrangements for internet access.
7. Entries must be completed and submitted personally by the Entrant. Entries by 3rd parties, collective entries or multiple entries will be disqualified.
8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any incorrect or incomplete entry forms.
9. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for entries that are not received or for delays in the receipt of the prize.
10. The Promoter will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit, delay or prohibit an Entrant’s ability to participate in the promotion.
11. If the entry procedure is found to have been tampered with in any way, including submission of ‘spam’ entries or falsified data the Promoter may withdraw the promotion or remove some entries at its absolute discretion.
12. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, disqualify any entries which it feels do not comply with these terms and conditions or where any form of bad faith is suspected.
13. If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe that any Entrant has been involved in any fraudulent or illegal activity connected with the promotion, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that Entrant and any related entries.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate, amend or extend this promotion (including altering any prizes) if it becomes reasonably necessary to do so due to circumstances outside its control. All amendments will be published on the website.
15. There will be one prize of £10,000. A cheque will be posted to the winning Entrant. The cheque will be made payable to the student named during the entry process. No alternative payment arrangements will be entered into. The prize is non-transferable.
16. The winning Entrant will be required to submit (1) proof of address (e.g. copy of utility bill) for themselves, and (2) copies of the named student’s current University student identification, and (3) University documents verifying the named student’s full time University course enrolment for the Academic year 2011/12.
17. The winning Entrant is responsible for ensuring they are able to accept the prize as set out and in accordance with these Terms. In the event they are unable to do so, the Promoter reserves the right to reallocate it to another eligible Entrant.
18. The winning entry will be selected at random no later than 23rd October 2011.
19. The winner will be informed via email or phone no later than 30th October 2011. The Promoter will use all reasonable endeavours to contact the winner but if the winner has not responded by 16:00 on 21st November 2011 the Promoter reserves the right to reallocate the prize to another eligible Entrant.
20. The Promoter does not accept liability for any losses or claims whatsoever arising out of the prize, save for personal injury or death resulting from the Promoter’s negligence.
21. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
22. The name and county of the winning Entrant will be available by sending a SAE to the Promoter using the address below. Do not send requests until 31st October 2011.
