Where to buy slipper socks cheaply?

My son has a problem with his foot in that he cannot wear normal shoes and therefore slippers are also out the question.

As we have laminate flooring I am going to need some sort of socks with grips on them for him. I had a look online but there are some ridiculous prices out there, £8 not including delivery. Even Amazon are pretty expensive at £3 per pair.

Does anyone know of anywhere I can purchase them a little cheaper? I'm going to obviously need more than one pair for him and it just seems like it could work out seriously expensive if I'm not on the ball.

I'm doing everything in my power to get ready for winter and keep the cost as low as possible so any help is most appreciated.

P.S It doesn't matter at all the design or colour!

  • How about buying liquid latex? You can sometimes buy it from craft shops or wool shops. You can use it to create anti-slip dots on the bottom of socks.
  • Oh wow. I had no idea about that, I will have a look and try that then! Thanks so much :)

You can also make shapes with it like love hearts and cars which could be amusingly embarrasing for him depending on how old he is :)
  • Another vote for Primark, really good and warm.
    Normal people worry me.
  • I got some in Primark, reduced to 50p a pair!! Grabbed a few pairs to pass on to family members at that price!

Have seen them in pound shops too, but they don't always have them. The sizing tends to be on the small side in both pound shops and primark, so be aware of that when buying.
