  • I was reading this thread earlier and decided to have a nose around our Tesco's not expecting to find much as it is small (we're in Llandrindod Wells, Powys) but I did scan a camcorder with ESP at £150. but when scanned showed £99 and I think it was already marked down from £199 - sorry no model details, but find all this very interesting and can't believe how many bargains people are picking up with these glitches!

I sent DH out from his office at lunchtime to the Tesco Extra near him - T0t0n Nottingham, to see if there are any cameras - for DS's Christmas present.

I don't know yet whether he found anything, but if the SELs don't show a price reduction, he'll not begger about finding a scanner.

I don't really understand what Tesco are doing here, reducing the prices of items, but not making that clear. They won't shift any more than usual if folk don't realise they are reduced (well they will now you lot have publicised it - but it's hardly a reliable sales strategy, surely?), and anyone who picks one up to buy would have paid the full price anyway.

So, is this a head-office price cut that they are forgetting to tell store managers about? Surely it can't be a technical glitch, as it's applying to such a diverse range of products.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)
  • Got a technika advanced 7 inch frame for £10 and found a 3.3 litre Tesco slowcooker reduced from £15.97 to £10 to help with my budget saving meals. All that plus points and a voucher for £7 off when I spend £50 or more.
Really wanted a couple of the small ones for £1 too.
  • just been into my local store, ask someone there, they where not aware of any deals, still I've got 8 more stores in a 25 mile radius, but my neice works in one will ask her if any deals are coming up

Are people just scanning the items at the till and hoping for the best?
Neither of my Tesco's have scanners on the aisles, so the only way to scan stuff is to take it to the till.

    Xmas Saver!
Guys, I know it is nice to know that your store has some of these, but if someone sticks on here that they have had success at a store, chances are that they either cleared the shelves, the staff cleared the shelves, or someone on here lives closer and they will clear the shelves before you. This leads to dissapointement when you do go to find empty shelves.

If you want the deals, take a chance and go and see what you can find, you never know you may find an even better deal!
