  • Martin,

The word 'whoops!' springs to mind :-)
    Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
    Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
    Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
    ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)
  • An honest mistake, though.

I get annoyed by obviously false complaints, including about PPI. That is not to say that honest grievances should not be addressed but I have seen complaints about policies that never existed and it is obviously fraudulent.

For a small business the cost of dealing with this can be enormous.

Martin, I trust you have sent the staff something by way of an apology.
As it was Mrs MSE's name they had they won't know it was you.
However poor shop staff get a hard time as it is, an apology and a Huge gift of chocolates or bunch of flowers makes up for it :)
