Looks like some light fittings have gone 75% off.

I got a rather nice floor standing uplighter in nickel effect for £2.50 and got a spare bulb. Looks way better than the cheaper £5 one they do.

Also got a 3 arm light fixture which I think I will put in the bedroom for a grand sum of £3.75.

It just struck a chord because last year a guy on a pedal bike stopped me in the street and asked if I could direct him to 'Wilco'. I also did something similar when I was walking up to catch a train home from work and was approached by a very harrassed looking family with suitcases asking me where the Swansea Holiday Inn was - so I told them it was down in the Marina, about a half hour walk from where we were and advised them they should really get a taxi. When I got into work the following day I realised the Holiday was across the road from my office (in the next street to where I'd given my advice to this family!!). Oh dear.

just got back from my local wilkinsons and they are selling all there under a pound stuff for 5p they had stuff like math sets,socket sets,kitchen knives,scissors,laundry basckets,non slip matts,packs of 4 sticky note labels dunno if its nation wide

I used to work in a sports shop (not a chain, just a small private one) and next door was a camping shop, a lot of ppl used to come into the sports shop by mistake and get irate for not being able to find the tenting gear, one of the old chaps who worked there used to give them the following directions - turn left when you go out of the shop, take the next left, then left again, and left again and it will be on your left - basically giving them a half a mile walk round the block instead of saying 'it's next door!' (he only did this if they had a really snotty attitude but it was great to stand at the door and watch them coming back down the road lol).
